Instant Pot Simple: Pork Chops

hey, y’all,

I’m going, to be honest – I have never made pork chops before. I’ve eaten them, watched other people cook them, but never did it myself. People always make pork sound like a scary meat. You have to make sure the temperature is right and it’s white all on the inside but not dry at the same time. I’ve been cooking juicy chicken my whole life but for some reason when it came to pork I was scared. Recently I decided to do it – I was going to make smothered pork chops. I took out my Instant Pot and learned that making pork chops are way easier than I originally thought. In the instant pot, they came out so juicy, and fully cooked and it was easy to whip up some gravy on the side. Check out my video below on how I do it and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to my channel.

Pork Chops

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2-3 small to medium pork chops
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic
  • 2-3 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup broth from pork chops
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper

Notes

Boneless pork chops work best in the instant pot – if you decide to go bone in you are going to have to double your cooking time
Don’t stack your pork. If you are like me and use a mini pot you will probably only be able to cook about 2 chops at a time. You want all the chops to be able to be covered and sit at the bottom of the pot.
Allow for a natural release for about 10 minutes after then do a manual release.
