Making My Bigmom’s Southern Pound Cake

Hey Y’all –

During this time of being locked in the house, like everyone else, I started baking things that I normally don’t. I have had this recipe for pound cake sitting in my dining room for years from my Bigmom (Grandmother) and I decided to make the cake.

I remember getting these in the mail when I was a child. She would ship them all the way from Mississippi and they would always be delish. It wasn’t till adulthood that I realized the cake has 3 sticks of butter which was probably the reason why it tasted so good. 🙂

Check out my video below to see how I put this cake together. This time of being in lockdown was the perfect time to relive some good childhood memories. <3

(I’m not going to write out the whole recipe cause I feel funny about that, this was her recipe…but the Ingredients are listed below 🙂 )

Ingredients used:

3 stick unsalted butter

3 cups sugar

3 cups flour

6 eggs – separated

8oz cream cheese

1 tablespoon vanilla
